The arrival of Vince Lombardi as the Packers head coach corresponded with Bart Starr’s becoming the team’s starting quarterback. Starr would lead the Packers to five NFL championships and become the winning quarterback and MVP in the first two Super Bowls. This iconic close-up portrait of Starr was taken during the time of his back-to-back Super Bowl victories. The front of the photo has some light staining on the border area and on Starr’s number “5.” The reverse has the ABC Sports label along with 1968 date stamps and various notations typewritten and in pencil. The photograph measures 7” x 9” and has been encapsulated and graded a Type 1 by PSA.
