This awesome piece of lumber was used by Frank Robinson the season after which he became the only player in history to win MVP Awards in both leagues. Frank’s 1967 season was almost a repeat of his MVP season, hitting .311 and smashing 30 home runs as he made his eighth All-Star appearance. Robinson’s 1967 Flame Burned Hillerich & Bradsby R161 model bat shows excellent game use with a repaired handle crack. There are several ball scuffs on all sides of the barrel and the knob and barrel end show abrasions from contact with the ground. The back barrel has “FRANK ROBINSON MAY 26, 1967” and the knob has his number “20” hand written in black marker. A museum-worthy gamer from the triumphant second act of Frank Robinson’s Hall of Fame career. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA who have graded this bat GU 9.
