1966 Roger Maris Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger Professional Signature Model W215 from his final season as a New York Yankee. Maris had a disappointing year in 1966 batting .233 with just 13 HR and 43 RBI. Traded to St. Louis for 1967 he would prove to be a valuable part of the 1967 and 1968 Cardinal World Series teams. Bat displays excellent game use with a handle crack. Blue bat rack marks are visible on all sides of the barrel as well as cleat marks. Bat has had a light coat of pine tar applied. to the handle. Model number W215 is stamped into the top of knob. The weight of the knob (32) is written on the knob in pencil. Maris' number 9 is written on the top of knob and on the tip of barrel in black marker. Standard finish ash bat is 35 inches long and weighs 31.6 ounces. Bat displays beautifully. A very eye appealing game used bat from the man who topped Babe Ruth's home run record in 1961 and was the back to back American League Most Valuable Player in 1960 and 1961.
