The 1965 Topps Baseball release consists of 598 cards featuring large player color photographs surrounded by colorful borders. The player's name and position are included on the bottom portion of the card next to a team pendant, which certainly adds some flair to the '65 Topps design.
This near-complete set includes 550 examples (missing 48 cards) all in EX condition or better. Some standout examples would be great candidates for the grading process. Certainly an opportunity for some high-grade commons to add to any master set.
Some standout athletes included are Jim Katt, Bill Mazeroski, Gil Hodges, Joe Torre, Walt Alston, Hoyt Wilhelm, and Phil Niekro to name a few.
