This 1965 Topps #540 Lou Brock has been graded PSA EX 5. Card #540 sits within the high-number series of the 1965 Topps set, a print run produced in smaller quantities than the set's earlier series and consequently scarcer overall, particularly in well-preserved condition. A PSA EX 5 grade reflects a card with moderate wear typical of the grade level, including visible corner softening and surface handling, while retaining solid original color and an intact, undamaged image with no major creasing or paper loss. Brock, who would go on to set the modern-era stolen base record and earn election to the Hall of Fame, appears on this card during his first full season with the Cardinals after a trade from the Cubs earlier that year. Given the scarcity of the high-number series, this EX 5 example represents a respectable, collectible mid-grade copy of a key Brock card.
