ADDENDUM: THIS IS A M110 MODEL BAT NOT S100 AS LISTED IN THE PRINTED CATALOG.

When Detroit great Al Kaline was taunted by a youngster who said "You're not half as good as Mickey Mantle" he replied "Son nobody is half as good as Mickey Mantle." Mantle was a multi-talented offensive threat. He drove in runs with enormous power from either side of the plate. He got on base by hitting well for average and drawing more than 100 walks in each of 10 seasons. And he scored runs with his excellent speed stealing as many as 21 bases in a season (1959). Overall he scored more runs than he drove in (1677 to 1509) a rarity among power hitters. Mantle's combination of personal accomplishments and team success throughout his 18 seasons as a New York Yankee made him one of the most decorated and celebrated heroes ever to don pinstripes. Dating from the latter portion of his career this Hillerich & Bradsby Mickey Mantle professional model bat is un-cracked and shows evidence of light use. No discernible ball marks are visible on the barrel though red bat rack streaks are visible on the handle and cleat marks are visible on the right barrel. The model number M110 is stamped into the knob and Mantle's number 7 is written on the knob in faded black marker. Measuring 35 inches and weighing 34.9 ounces it possesses superb display quality. An accompanying letter of provenance from former California Angels bat-boy Rich Wemmer states that he obtained this bat directly from Mickey Mantle between 1963 and 1965. Wemmer was a bat-boy for the Angels and Dodgers from 1963 to 1966.

Additional LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA.
