Its difficult to imagine a more poignant signed piece for a Beatles fan a handsomely signed copy of John Lennons quirky 1964 book In His Own Write filled with short stories poems and the precocious line drawings by the legendary Beatle all done at the ripe old age of 24. It was the first solo project of any kind from the Fab Four published at the height of Beatlemania in 1964 as Ed Sullivan prepared to unleash the group on his iconic television program. Adding to the allure as if that were needed is the realization that this offering represents a rare first edition of the popular tome greatly enhancing the value of an already formidable piece. The book present in perhaps Ex-Mt fashion with a striking blue ballpoint Lennon autograph on the first blank inside page. The 5 ½-by-7-inch book is largely as-issued and problem-free revealing only the slightest touch of wear to the corners front and back of the blue hardbound cover. Simply a superb artifact from one of the most important pop musicians of all time.
