For ferocious fans of the Fab Four this striking photograph from more than a half century ago presents a unique opportunity to obtain a Beatles artifact that neatly presents both their freshly-scrubbed faces and youthful exuberance and four standout signatures from the most important pop group in history. In the early 1960s their enormous popularity first emerged as "Beatlemania" but as the group's music grew in sophistication led by primary songwriters Lennon and McCartney they came to be perceived as an iconic element as the social and cultural upheavals of the 1960's unfolded. They gained popularity in the United Kingdom after their first hit "Love Me Do" in late 1962 and by early 1964 they had become international stars leading the "British Invasion" of the United States pop market. Even after their break-up in 1970 they each enjoyed successful musical careers. According to the RIAA the Beatles are the best-selling music artists in the United States with 178 million certified units. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.

The 5 1/21-by-7-inch Brel publicity still photograph is vividly presented in a PSA/DNA slab having been authenticated with Mint 9 graded signatures from the four which appear on the back of the photo with Ringo George and John in blue ballpoint and Paul in black ballpoint each a striking rendition of the musical giants. The photograph presents with Ex-Mt eye appeal in spite of a small crease in the lower left-hand corner that is not easily found and does not detract from the overall presentation. Included in the lot are additional authentication materials from Paul Wane of Tracks Ltd. and noted Beatles Autographs expert Frank Caiazzo who notes that the photograph was taken shortly after the release of their "Please Please Me" album. His letter also points out that the signatures were obtained outside of the Odeon Cinema in Romford England where The Beatles performed a show on June 16 1963. Truly an extraordinary treasure from a rock group with global historical significance and renown.
