Jerry Lucas built one of the most impressive resumes in basketball history throughout his amateur and pro career including a gold medal in the 1960 Olympic Games NCAA Champion in 1960 a 7 time NBA All-Star NBA All-Star Game MVP (1965) 14053 points in the NBA and an NBA Rookie of the Year award in 1964. This lot is for Lucas’s personal 1964 Cincinnati Royals Pro Basketball Rookie of the Year Silver Platter presented by the Touchdown Club of Columbus OH. Measuring 12” by 16.5” the silver platter features the engraved inscription “Pro Basketball Rookie of the Year - Jerry Lucas - Cincinnati Royals - Presented by The Touchdown Club of Columbus OH.” Platter is in NM condition with only some signs of aging present. Originated from the Jerry Lucas Collection.
