Here is a stunning artifact from the most important team in Japanese baseball the Yomiuri Giants represented here by an absolutely spectacular pennant from 1963 one of seven years during the decade of the 1960s when the legendary franchise won both the Central League and Japanese Series titles. They are regarded as "The New York Yankees of Japan" due to their widespread popularity past dominance of the league and polarizing effect on fans. The Yomiuri Giants name and uniforms were based on the New York (now San Francisco) Giants. The team's colors (orange and black) are the same colors worn by the National League's Giants (both in New York and San Francisco). With that sterling resume comes this remarkable 29-inch pennant with all elements seemingly intact and essentially as-issued an extraordinary assertion for a piece with intricate ribbons large lettering and logo pieces. The red and off-white pennant features Giants in a heavy intricately cut typeface affixed to the pennant with the logo YG in style reminiscent of the New York Giants at the center at the left encircled by Yomiuri Tokyo 1963 in a heavy gold-on-black piece. The tassels at the left side and the 5-inch ribbon with Japanese writing from the logo are intact and without incident; on the off-white felt section of the pennant there is a bit of spotting and apparently some writing in red denoting 1963 Nippon Series Champions none of which dramatically detracts from the presentation.
