Presented is a remarkable pairing from the 1962 FIFA World Cup held in Chile, consisting of the official tournament program and a 1962 World Cup Finals ticket stub still attached to its original ticket booklet.
The blue-gray cover of the program reads "Programa Oficial del Campeonato Mundial de Futbol, Copa Jules Rimet – Chile 1962" in white lettering over a stylized globe-and-ball graphic with the Chilean flag in red. Interior pages are printed in Spanish and include comprehensive content: all 16 participating nation rosters including Brazil (featuring Pelé, Garrincha, Didi, Vavá, Zagallo, and Amarildo), Chile, Argentina, England, Italy, and others; full tournament bracket with group stage fixtures and fill-in score charts; team crests and federation information; individual Chilean national team player photographs; and a semifinal/final bracket template. The program shows light wear and toning consistent with age. Interior pages are well-preserved and fully legible.
The ticket stub from the "Campeonato Mundial de Futbol — 1962" is from the "Tribuna Chacabuco" (Tribune Stand) of "Estadio Nacional" in Santiago, Chile. It is "Asento Numero 000571" in section "C" priced at $2.20 USD for match number "32" dated "Domingo 17 de Junio 1962" — the date of the final in which Brazil defeated Czechoslovakia 3-1 to win their second consecutive World Cup, thanks to goals from Amarildo, Zito, and Vavá. The front of the stub appears in mid-grade condition and is still attached to its original ticket booklet, making this an exceptionally scarce example. We guarantee this to pass PSA ticket authentication if removed from the booklet.
