When these members of the Pittsburgh Pirates, including all-time great Roberto Clemente, posed for this picture at Spring Training in 1961, they were fresh off the 1960 World Series title. This original photo captures a moment of camaraderie and preparation as the Pirates geared up for another season. The partial team image holds historical significance as it provides a genuine snapshot into the world of baseball during the early 1960s. Pictured alongside Clemente sporting his home white #21 jersey (left to right) are 3B Don Hoak (2nd in 1960 NL MVP voting), SP Vern Law (1960 ML Cy Young winner), 2B Bill Mazeroski (1960 World Series Game 7 hero), CF Bill Virdon, and manager Danny Murtaugh. The reverse is blank, save for an official "Post-Gazette Photo by Morris Berman" stamp. There are pinholes near each corner from display use, but above all it comes in excellent condition with each player's face in sharp resolution.
