The 1961 New York Yankees were a force, with Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris chasing Babe Ruth's record 60 home runs all season long. Maris eventually broke the Babe's record by hitting 61. The Yanks won the AL pennant by eight games to set up a World Series matchup with the Cincinnati Reds. New York cruised to victory in five games to win the club's 19th championship.

 

Offered is a 1961 New York Yankees World Series championship ring presented to a staff member. A genuine diamond is in the center of a baseball diamond with the words "NEW YORK YANKEES WORLD CHAMPIONS" encircling it. Each shank features the year "1961" above the iconic Yankees top hat and script logo. Inside band is stamped "BALFOUR 14K." The size 15 ring weighs 30.78 grams and remains in good condition with only minor imperfections visible. 

Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method. If you would like your items shipped in a different method, such as UPS/FedEx Next Day or UPSFedEx 2-Day, you must contact our Post Sale Services Manager Veronica Rodriguez by emailing customerservice@scpauctions.com to discuss alternative shipping instructions. Prior to bidding, please be aware of estimated shipping costs, especially for large or heavy lots.
