The decade of the 1960’s started off with a bang for the New York Yankees as the Bronx Bombers won back-to-back World Series titles in 1961 and ’62. With an aging and often-injured Mickey Mantle in and out of the lineup the Yankees sputtered toward the end of the decade. This lot features a 1960’s style New York Yankees wristwatch that as presented to longtime team scout Lou Maguolo.
The base metal bezel with stainless back wristwatch features a full-on New York Yankees design on its face with the team’s trademark logo in the center accompanied by four baseballs in place of the hour hands 12 3 6 and 9. It comes with its original brown leather band intact. It shows moderate wear throughout.
