This is fascinating pair of items from the personal collection of the Los Angeles Dodgers' Hall of Fame manager Walt Alston a child-size full uniform - jersey and pants - that was worn by his grandchildren in the 1960's. The jersey is a smaller version of the famed Dodgers home beige flannel jersey with scripted "Dodgers" across the front in blue felt above Alston's No. 24 in red; Alston's No. 24 is also on the back in blue felt. The shirt has Rawlings Hall of Fame tagging at the back of the collar with an adjacent flap tag worn away to the point of merely be a remnant. A wash instructions flap tag is found on the inside of the front left tail. The complementing pants in appropriate size are in similarly spectacular condition largely as-issued and problem free show quite a bit of piling on the legs and a tag at the back of the waist is worn enough to make it difficult to read seeming to indicate "8 Year Old." This is truly a unique piece of Dodger memorabilia in an extraordinary mini size from the beginning of the 1960's Dodgers' dynasty that would send the club to the Fall Classic three times in the span of four seasons.
