Presented here is a 1960 Squaw Valley Winter Olympics participation medal. The simple design by Herff Jones Co. featuresa hand holding a torch surrounded by "SQUAW VALLEY CALIFORNIA 1960" on the obverse. The reverse has the logo of the Squaw Valley Games surrounded by "VII OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES". Bottom edge stamped ""H.J. CO." Diameter is 50mm thickness is 4 mm and weight is 78 grams. Presents in EX-MT condition with some patina coloring on the lower obverse. One of the more coveted Winter Games participation medals.
