Wally Moon was one of those fast starters socking a home run in his first at-bat and then keeping things rolling through that first season in 1954 as he earned the Rookie of the Year Award against some fairly stiff competition (think Aaron and Banks). A fine left fielder with a good arm Moon also played right field and center as well as first base. He was a Gold Glove Award winner in 1960 as he made the All-Star team in 1957 and 1959. A career .289 hitter Moon hit 142 home runs with 661 RBI in 1457 games. Here we present a home white flannel jersey worn by the All-Star outfielder in the championship season in 1959 when he logged 19 home runs 74 RBI and batted .302. The famed "Dodgers" script logo is applied in classic Dodger blue felt to the chest with the numeral in red felt on the front and repeated in blue on verso. Lower left front tail holds proper "Rawlings Hall of Fame" label with adjacent "42" size tag. A wash tag appears on the inside front of the tail directly adjacent to a smaller "Set 1 1959" flag tag. Jersey exhibits good game use and is largely problem free save only for a couple of small holes in the fabric on the bottom of the tail on the back and on the collar. A crisp black marker Moon autograph appears on the right side of the front directly beneath the "dodgers" script lettering.
