Sheer ability consistency and resilience were the earmarks of Hank Aaron's prolific career. For 20 consecutive seasons he totaled more than 20 home runs; 15 times topping the 30 homer mark and eight times he walloped 40 or more home runs. As Aaron biographer Lonnie Wheeler wrote "(Hank) Aaron's excellence was not expelled in blinding bursts of energy but rather played out patiently and inexorably over a whole generation." Dating from the middle stretch of Aaron's long road to immortality is the Home Run Kings circa 1959 game-used and signed Louisville Slugger professional model bats. The historic 35-inch 32.7 ounce piece of lumber was used by Aaron during the time when he was busy launching 39 and 40 home runs in 1959 and 60 respectively. The uncracked S2 model gamer shows solid game usage with ball marks throughout the barrel and cleat marks on the barrel end. A slight water stain is also present on the barrel end. Aaron has signed the bat in blue Sharpie on the barrel just below his engraved signature.

Includes LOAs from John Taube of PSA/DNA (Grade GU8.5) SCD AUTHENTIC (Troy Kinunen) and a Louisville Slugger Museum Auction LOA.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (auto.).
