George Yardley was a basketball Hall of Famer and the first player in NBA history to score 2000 points in one season breaking the 1932-point record held by George Mikan. A six-time NBA All-Star while p[laying for the Fort Wayne/Detroit Pistons and the Syracuse Nationals Yardley was a 65 small forward who played professionally for a total of eight seasons. This is Yardleys 1958 NBA East-West All-Star Game trophy that he was awarded for playing in the January 15 1958 contest in St. Louis. The 17.5 trophy includes a bronzed basketball sitting atop a wood base with a pair of bronze eagles sitting on either side. An engraved plaque on the front of the base reads: NBA East-West All-Star Game St. Louis January 15 1958 GEORGE YARDLEY.
