The name of the magazine is called Yomiuri and it is a sports magazine produced by Yomiuri Newspaper Company (Yomiuri Shimbun) which owns the Japanese baseball team (Yomiuri Giants) that hosted the Dodgers' 1956 tour. Yomiuri is the equivalent to Time or Life Magazine. The back cover is an ad for a resin bat claiming that resin bats last longer and are better than regular wooden bats. Yomiuri actually owns the company that produces the resin bat and claims it to be the official bat of the Yomiuri Giants. The description of Jackie Robinson reads: Jackie Robinson was the first African American baseball player to play in Major League Baseball in 1947 for the Dodgers. He was an all-around player who could play all positions. He was the fourth to bat this year great instinct and a fast runner. He is 37 years old. Jackie has signed his page in 7/10 blue ballpoint. Don Newcombe has also signed his player page in 8/10 blue ballpoint.

The rest of the magazine gives some generic descriptions of the players and the organizations history. The next section features the baseball team (Yomiuri Giants) that the newspaper owns and its players. Towards the back are descriptions of people who helped make the event possible. At the very end they have a little gossip column that is baseball related (who might be traded who received an accolade etc.).
