This unopened wax pack from the 1955 Topps series is the extremely scarce 5-cent variety. The series is unknown but there's plenty of potential gems to be found in all of them especially series 1 (Williams Kaline Banks J. Robinson) and the high-numbered series 4 (with Clemente RC). Based on the packs condition it almost certainly originated from Alan "Mr. Mint" Rosen's legendary 1987 Paris Tennessee unopened-box find. The material from that historic find is responsible for virtually all of the surviving unopened 1955 Topps (and 1955 Bowman) wax packs in the hobby today. The staining on front and back is consistent with many of the packs from this extraordinary find. The large slab of gum is visible against the front of the wax wrapper and there is a vertical tear at the upper right corner. Some discoloration is evident around the outline of the gum and at the lower right corner. The pack is firmly sealed and in VG condition overall.
