1954 Pacific Coast League Champion 10K White Gold ring awarded to a member of the Oakland Oaks. When the ring was re-sized with a pair of bars at the bottom all of the original stamping was lost. In 1954 the Oakland Oaks defeated the San Francisco Seals in the PCL Play-Offs 2 games to 1 to be named league Champion. The San Diego Padres finished the regular season with the best record but were eliminated in the first round of the Play-Offs by the 4th place Seals. 1954 would be the last year the original PCL would have a play-off at the end of the season after that the first place finisher would be named league champion. Baseball atop a field of real diamonds on top surrounded by "PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE CHAMPIONS". 3 additional real diamonds on each side for a total of over 1 carat. Large "19" on one side with "54" on the other. As mentioned above sizing bars eliminated all stamping. Ring size (with sizing) 10 1/4. Weight 44 grams.
Includes 3/3/2009 Letter from E & R Galleries which sold the ring originally. (In the letter they describe it as a San Diego Padres ring.)
