1952 Topps collectors know this image well the super popular #1 card from the 1952 Topps baseball set signed by Brooklyn Dodger Andy Pafko. A vintage blue ballpoint ink signature runs across the front of this popular image of Pafko.
It was a season Pafko hit a solid .287 blasted 19 homers and knocked in 85 RBI's for "The Boys of Summer."
This is the very first card #1 in the set. Imagine the abuse many of these #1’s took from thoughtless rubber bands tightly wrapped around a youngster’s number ordered stack! Well this one has somehow survived the seven decades plus this "leadoff" card was inked Mr. Pafko as well. It is perfectly imperfect!
