An excellent 1952 press photo that depicts the “Ol’ Perfesser” Casey Stengel instructing his hard-hitting squad of outfielders on what he expects out of them in that year’s spring training. A young Mickey Mantle, just going into his second season in the majors, poses with Hank Bauer, Jackie Jensen, Andy Carey, Archie Wilson, Bob Cerv, and Gene Woodling. The Type 1 photo has sharp detail and nice toning throughout. The reverse features a United Press Photo credit stamp, a “Mar 6th 1952” date stamp, and the original caption slug. The photo has been encapsulated by PSA and graded a Type 1 Authentic.
