In the 1950 biopic, The Jackie Robinson Story, Jackie played himself and did a masterful job as an amateur actor, chronicling his daily battles with the horrific racism he faced while breaking baseball's color barrier during his first three MLB seasons. This wonderful original photograph taken on set shows Robinson about to unleash his powerful swing. The white borders have hairline creasing and show slight discoloration from age and wear. Three holes have been punched along the left edge from being stored in a binder. The reverse is blank.
