Mixed condition complete set of the very popular 1948 Bowman Basketball issue with cards #1-36 being NM overall condition and #37-72 being mostly lesser condition with most cards ranging from P to VG-EX. Key cards in the set are: #1 Calverley EM/NM(PD) 9 Phillip(HOF) EM/NM(PD) 10 Davies((HOF) First glance appear NM but has a very light front surface wrinkle 32 Holzman(HOF) NM(PD) 34 Fulks(HOF) EM+(PD) 38 Jeannette(HOF) EX(MK)(his name is written on front bottom in ink) 43 Halbert VG-EX 46 McKinney VG 48 Sadowski VG 52 Simmons(Gray) EM with picture slight out of focus 54 Palmer Small tip of upper right corner missing and picture slight out of focus 55 Zaslofsky water stain plus front surface damage 58 Risen(HOF) front surface damage 66 Pollard(HOF) VG-EX with picture slight out of focus Mikan(HOF) EX-MT looking front with small tear to top of back 72 Braun(HOF) VG+ with small piece of lower left corner missing. There is also a duplicate #43 Halbert(Gray) in VG+ condition.
Low numbers 4 11 12 16 21 22 25 and 28 have print damage on front.
High numbers 42 47 53 59 65 & 71 have stains. #49 57 60 61 63 & 68 have picture out of focus. #44 has tape on left edge. #56 has name written in ink on front bottom. Most of remaining cards in VG overall condition.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
