The 1948 Boston Braves season was the 78th consecutive season of the Major League Baseball franchise, its 73rd in the National League. It produced the team's second NL pennant of the 20th century, its first since 1914, and its tenth overall league title dating to 1876. The 1948 Braves captured 91 wins to finish 61⁄2 games ahead of the second-place St. Louis Cardinals. The Braves fell in six games to the Cleveland Indians in the 1948 World Series.

 

Offered is a 1948 Boston Braves National League championship owner's ring. The face of the ring features a large genuine diamond set against a red stone. The words "NATIONAL LEAGUE BASEBALL CLUB OF BOSTON" and "LEAGUE CHAMPIONS" encircle it. One shank features "1948" above the Braves logo. The other has a baseball diamond design. Inside band is stamped with "MURCHISON 10K" and the owner's name "Louis R. Perini." The size 10 ring weighs 18.46 grams.
