Hockey whistle belonging to and used by Detroit Red Wing Hall of Fame coach Jack Adams. Adams is the only person to be named to the Hockey Hall of Fame as a player coach and general manager. As a player from 1917-18 through 1926-27 he led his teams to to Stanley Cups. While coach of the Detroit Red Wings from 1927-28 to 1946-47 he led them to 3 Stanley Cups. While general manager of the Red Wings from 1947-48 to 1955-56 they finished 1st during the regular season and won 4 Stanley Cups. Whistle engraved on one side "Coach Jack Adams" and on the other "Detroit Red Wings". Top of whistle stamped "J. HUDSON & CO. BIRMINGHAM 1939". Whistle displays good use but retains excellent eye appeal.
