A remarkable double artifact — an original 1937 photograph of Hall of Fame pitcher Carl Hubbell that served as the source image for his 1939-46 Exhibit Card. The "Screwball King" and 1936-37 NL MVP is depicted in this image as the commanding presence he was during the Giants' championship years, and the photo's subsequent use as the basis for the Exhibit Card creates a direct, documented lineage between the original photograph and the card it spawned.
Authenticated by PSA/DNA as a Type 1 original with both slab and LOA, this piece occupies a genuinely rare category in vintage baseball collecting — original source photography for known card issues.
