Group of 3 signed items all with African-American athletes from the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
- 10 1/2" by 12" display featuring a 4 1/2" by 2 1/2" signed vintage 9/10 looking black ink cut signature of Olympic legend Jesse Owens. Cut reads "Most Sincerely Jesse Owens 1-17-36". Signature has been framed with photo of Owens returning home to the U.S. as an Olympic Champion. Photo appears to be either Type 1 or a very good copy.
- Pair of matching autograph page with 12 signatures most if not all African-Americans 9 of whom competed at the 1936 Olympics in front of Hitler and Nazi Germany. The 10th autograph is believed to be Bill "Bojangles" Robinson whose life-long friendship with Jesse Owens began when Owens returned home following the '36 Games. American Olympic athletes are: Jesse Owens Cornelius Johnson John Woodruff Fritz Pollard Jr. Ralph Metcaffe Jack Wilson Tidye Anne Puckett John Terry John Henry Sims Lee Valle(y)? and John Oliv...? Strong 9/10 overall dark pencil signatures.
