1936 Berlin Summer Olympics participation medal features stylized art deco image of man in motion with "XI OLYMPIADE BERLIN 1936" on obverse. Olympic bell with Nazi eagle holding the Olympic rings appears on reverse. At lower right near the rim on reverse is the name of the designer "Otto Placzek." Weighs 114 grams and measures 70 mm in diameter and 7mm thick. Made of bronze. 3980 total athletes participated.
