1934 The Toledo Cup proclamation present to University of Minnesota head coach Bernie Bierman. The Golden Gophers went a perfect 8-0 to win the Western Conference(forerunner of the Big Ten) in 1934. Among the names printed on the document are Avery Brundage future President of the International Olympic Committee and Theodore Roosevelt eldest son of the 26th President. 15 1/2" by 20" proclamation has wear around the edges which should mat out and a 2 1/2" tear at the lower left edge.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from the Helms Athletic Foundation/LA84 Collection.
