This lot features a starter set (71/239) of 1933 Goudey “Big League Chewing Gum” baseball cards that kicked off the bubble gum card era. There are 20 duplicares as well. Overall condition appears FR to VG with some appearing lower and some higher. With 91 total cards, this lot is a great introduction to the highly regarded 1933 Goudey baseball card set. As a bonus, these cards come from the personal collection of former big league pitcher Fred Frankhouse (card #131 in this very set!) who played 13 MLB seasons (1927-39), the majority of which was spent with the Boston Braves where he was an All-Star in 1934.
