Offered here is Babe Ruth's #53 card from the famous 1933 Goudey set. Recently graded PR 1 by PSA, it still presents great with vibrant colors and an exceptionally sharp image of the Yankees legend against the clean yellow background. Centering is better than usual and corners have soft, even rounding. Calling this copy poor is quite harsh when in reality the only major issues are two creases that do not hurt its eye appeal. This card along with Ruth's other three '33 Goudey issues we have listed in subsequent lots (49-51) all come from our consignor's personal collection passed down from his father who got them straight from their original gum packs in the 1930's.
