Offered is a 1933 Goudey #149 Babe Ruth graded PSA GD+ 2.5 (PSA cert. #175227133). Card #149 features the same classic close-up batting pose as Ruth's #53 card, but set against a striking red-orange background that gives it a dramatic visual presence. It is widely considered one of the most eye-catching designs in the entire 1933 Goudey set.

Ruth is pictured in his Yankees pinstripes and navy cap, with the bat cocked over his left shoulder in the familiar artwork that defines the set. "George Herman (Babe) Ruth" is displayed in the upper left, with the red "Big League Chewing Gum" banner across the bottom. The reverse provides Ruth's biography, including his 60-homer season in 1927, his 1924 batting title, his years as a "great left-hand pitcher" with Boston and his 1920 sale to the Yankees.

At the GD+ 2.5 grade level, this card presents very well, with bold color throughout, a clean and unobstructed portrait and a balanced appearance. The vivid red-orange background remains rich and saturated, giving the card outstanding display appeal.

The 1933 Goudey Ruth cards are among the most prestigious cards in the hobby, and the "red" #149 remains a favorite among collectors pursuing all four Ruth variations in the set. As a charter member of the Hall of Fame and holder of 714 career home runs, Ruth's stature in the game is unmatched. This is an excellent, high-visual-appeal example of one of the most iconic baseball cards ever produced.
