Full unused ticket to Game 4 of the 1932 World Series between the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs played at Wrigley Field in Chicago on October 2 1932. The 1932 New York Yankees possibly the best team in the history of baseball ran roughshod over the American League finishing with a an incredible 107/47 record to finish 15 games ahead of Connie Mack's 3 time champs. Sporting 11 Hall of Famers - Combs Dickey Gehrig Gomez Lazzeri McCarthy Pennock Ruffing Ruth Schalk and Sewell they went on to sweep the National League Champion Chicago Cubs in 4 straight outscoring the Cubs 37 to 19. What is most remembered about the Series is the tale of Babe Ruth's famous called shot home run in the 5th inning of Game 3. This ticket is for Game 4 which would turn out to be the last time Babe Ruth ever appeared in a World Series. The Yankees trailing 4-1 after the first inning went on to pound the Cubs 13-6 and take the Series. Ruth went out quietly having just one single on the day. Ticket is super clean with outstanding color both front and back. Unfortunately it has been TRIMMED on the edges. Still great overall eye appeal! Slabbed AUTHENTIC by PSA.
