Signatures were obtained by consignor's father in 1931 who upon his high school graduation went to Washington DC for a baseball game between the Washington Senators and the Detroit Tigers. He arrived early at Griffith Stadium that day and talked with Walter Johnson for about one hour while obtaining the autographs.
1) ONL(Heydler) BB signed by 16 members of the 1931 Washington Senators. Players are: Nick Altrock Ossie Bluege Lloyd Brown Joe Cronin(HOF) General Crowder Bump Hadley Pinky Hargrave Dave Harris Walter Johnson(HOF)(SS) Heinie Manush(HOF)(SS) Firpo Marberry(SS) Harry Rice Sam Rice(HOF) Al Schacht Roy Spencer(2). Very readable 7-8/10 blue ink signatures on a shellacked baseball that has darkened somewhat over the years. Also present are CLUBHOUSE signatures of Buddy Myer Joe Kuhel Ed Gharrity and Sam West.
