This is a truly stunning full-length batting pose of Joe DiMaggio during the early part of his career. Taken during the 1930s in Yankee Stadium, DiMaggio poses confidently, gazing out towards the far reaches of his home ballpark while the stands behind him fill with fans and his teammates prepare for the game in the home dugout. The detail is fantastic, and the lighting is perfect – one would be hard pressed to find a finer DiMaggio batting pose than this example. The Type 1 photograph measures has a light, warm sepia tone from age. The corners are a little soft and there are some surface abrasions, but nothing that takes away from the majesty of this image. The reverse has a nice bold Cosmo-Sileo credit stamp beside which “Joe DiMagg” has been hand written. This photograph has been encapsulated Type 1 by PSA/DNA.
