This lot features a vintage Spalding J5 model football from the 1930s. It is covered across two panels with autographs in black ink from collegiate standouts during the time most notable players from USA and Stanford. It also boasts the signatures of superstar Jim Thorpe as well as screen actors Buster Crabbe Monty Collins Bert Wheeler and Robert Woolsey. The football shows its age although most of the signatures are legible and rate 7-8/10. Includes a Letter of Provenance from the Helms Athletic Foundation/LA84 Collection.
