Beautiful 14 1/4" by 18" full color illustration of a young boy sewing a letter on his football uniform by artist Charles Ryan which ran in an October 1936 edition of the Los Angeles Times newspaper. At bottom of image neatly printed in pencil is "L. A. TIMES OCT 1936". On back in upper left corner in pencil is written "Obtained May 3 1937" and Published in L. A. Times October 1936". A few Helms Museum property markings in pencil are at the bottom right on back. A few areas of white-out at top and bottom of front. Artwork in overall excellent condition with no creasing.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Helms/LA 84 Collection.
