Widely considered one of the best teams of all-time the 1929 Philadelphia Athletics stormed their way through the regular season en route to a demonstrative 4 games to 1 World Series triumph over the Chicago Cubs. Down by 8 runs in the 7th inning of Game 4 the famous "Mack Attack" came back for a stunning victory that seemingly broke the will of Cubbies. Offered here is one of the finest collaborations of 1929 Philadelphia Athletics from that storied season. This vintage Government Post Card is signed by the following 17 members of the 1929 World Champs: manager/owner Connie Mack (HOF) Jimmie Foxx (HOF) Al Simmons (HOF) Jimmie Dykes (HOF) Howard Ehmke George Earnshaw Joe Boley Bing Miller Max Bishop and Eddie Rommel. The Foxx and Mack autographs are absolutely gorgeous and rate a 9/10 in our book. Overall the signatures fall in the 8-9 range. The GPC with a stamped Philadelphia postmark date of Sept. 6 1939 presents Near Mint. Team signed relics from this sacred squad rarely surface and almost always present sub-par. So if condition is of the utmost importance look no further. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
