1928 World Series Game 1 ticket stub to the game between the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals played at Yankee Stadium on Oct 4 1928. Hall of Famer Waite Hoyt pitched a 3 hit complete game in shutting down the Cardinals 4-1. Bob Meusel's 2 run home run in the 4th provided the winning runs. The Yankees would sweep the Cardinals in 4 straight to take the Series. Babe Ruth had a monster of a Series going 10 for 16 with 3 home runs all in the deciding Game 4 while Lou Gehrig hit 4 home runs while driving in 9. Ticket itself is very clean both front and back. All printing bright and clear. Bit of a rough separation at lower right corner. Otherwise stub looks to be in VG-EX/EX condition. Slabbed AUTHENTIC by SGC.
