1928 Southern California Golf Association Sterling Silver Qualifying Round Winner Trophy won by golfer George Von Elm. Von Elm was one of the best players in the world in the 1920's and the greatest amateur golfer to ever come from the state of Utah. 14" tall trophy engraved "QUALIFYING ROUND WINNER GEORGE VON ELM" on the lower front base and "PRESENTED TO PAUL H. HELMS. JR. -1928-" on the reverse side of the base. Bottom stamped "SEDLACEK & CO. STERLING BASE WEIGHTED 58". Trophy has some dings but still presents very well.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from the Helms Athletic Foundation/LA84 Collection.
