Walter Johnson, the legendary "Big Train" and one of the most dominant pitchers in baseball history, is honored on this 1926 Spalding Champions card, graded PSA Good 2. The black-and-white "International Photo" portrait shows Johnson in his Washington Senators uniform, glove in hand, framed by the ornate "Champions" bannered border typical of this scarce multi-sport issue. Spalding's Champions set is notable for crossing sports entirely, mixing baseball legends with golfers, boxers, and other athletes of the era, making each card a snapshot of period celebrity culture.

 

Despite handling consistent with its century of age, the card retains clear, legible printing and a fully intact image, with no trimming or major defects. A respectable, accessible-grade example of a true Hall of Fame pitcher from an unusual and historically interesting early advertising premium issue, ideal for collectors building period-correct Johnson or Spalding Champions material.
