This lot includes a pair of pocket-watch-style boxing timers from the 1920s one used for rounds and one for knockdowns. They are both still kept in the same original Lipps-branded black leather box case complete with blue velvet and light blue silk on the inside. The knockdown timer is still functional. The set is attributed to former Los Angeles-based boxing official Dan Tobey who was from Los Angeles. Includes a Letter of Provenance from the Helms Athletic Foundation/LA84 Collection.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
