Presented here is a striking Type I photograph of baseball icon Ty Cobb of the Detroit Tigers. Depicted in the outfield at the Polo Grounds, the sepia toned photo can also be identified on Getty images (514906162) as dating to a 5/251920 Tigers vs. Yankees game at the Polo Grounds (where the Yanks played before The House That Ruth Built). Markings on the back include a crossed out stamp, and the flip is noted by PSA/DNA as circa 1920's. Some wear and soiling including some upper surface paper loss on the back. The Original News Service photo measures 7" by 9" and is encapsulated by PSA/DNA as a Type I.
