Offered is an impressive copy of one of Jack Johnson's rarest and most unusual tobacco cards. The Hall of Fame boxer can be found on this colorful 1912 T227 Tobacco card issued by Miners Extra. The other T227's in the set were manufactured by Honest Long Cut. This example is graded SGC VG 3 and displays exceptional color and a fantastic artistic rendering of Jack Johnson. Nice looking white edges and VG corners along with a very clean looking back for the grade. These cards are rarely found in high grade due to the cards from the set being packaged in tobacco pouches without protection from either tobacco or general handling. This is a very strong example of this rare, uniquely designed and overlooked issue. One of the better Jack Johnson offerings in this auction.
