The beautiful lithography the great number of stars represented and the unique design of T202 Hassan Triple Folders combine to make it one of the most highly regarded of all baseball-card sets of the era. The tri-fold format overall size and production variables also make it one of the most challenging issues for collectors seeking high-grade examples.
This eye popping MINT PSA 9 1912 T202 Hassan Triple Folder "Chance Beats Out A Hit" Frank Chance/David Shean card features blazing color with picture perfect portrait images. The center image is flawless and the entire item is framed by four MINT corners. The front borders are snow white while both surfaces are super clean and blemish free. The side to side centering is dead on 50/50 while top to bottom is a shade off 50/50. It's difficult to call a card that's over 100 years old "pack fresh" but this beauty could fit the bill! This is the only example graded MINT 9 by PSA with nothing graded higher.
This card last sold in 2009 for over $23000.
