VG-EX PSA 4 ticket stub to Game 4 of the 1911 World Series between Connie Mack's Philadelphia Athletics and John McGraw's New York Giants played on October 24 1911 at Shibe Park in Philadelphia. Hall of Fame pitchers Chief Bender and Christy Mathewson were again matched up as had been the case in Game 1. The game was played exactly 7 days after Game 3 due to 6 constant days of rain in-between. Hall of Fame Philadelphia pitcher Chief Bender pitched a 7 hit complete game to beat the Giants 4-2 and even the score against fellow Hall of Famer Christy Mathewson who had pitched a 5 hitter to down the Athletics 2-1 despite Bender's 11 strikeouts. The Athletics would go on to take the Series 4 games to 2. VG-EX stub has one light diagonal crease at upper left corner with VG-EX overall corners. Ticket is very clean both front and back with strong printing. Just one ticket stub to this game rated higher by PSA.
