Issued more than 115 years ago, this 1910 T206 Sweet Caporal card depicting Josh Clark of the Columbus Senators is a genuine artifact from the dawn of the modern baseball card era. The T206 set — commonly known as the "Monster" — is the most celebrated tobacco issue in hobby history, comprising over 500 subjects from both major and minor leagues. Clark is depicted in the classic portrait pose against the vibrant red background that distinguishes his variation, wearing the crisp white uniform of the Columbus club. The iconic Sweet Caporal back confirms the 350-subject series designation.
Certified SGC VG 3 (40), this card shows honest wear commensurate with its remarkable age: soft corners, light creasing, and surface toning that are entirely expected for a card produced over a century ago. The front image retains clear color and definition despite the wear. T206 cards of any subject in any grade are treasured by the hobby's most devoted collectors as irreplaceable windows into baseball's dead-ball era.
